Week 2 - RSS Feeds & Apple Insider
RSS? Never heard of it in my life! I don’t think anyone else does either. But it is said that it started off as ‘rich site summary’ and then changed to ‘really simple syndication'
The website that appealed to me was the ‘apple insider’ which is a tech gossip site dedicated to Apple. Why? I find Apple products very trendy and something that will never out date. Also its something that i would love to look more into and get to know the products better and what people think about Apple!
Apple is creating technology that was once imagined to be made. There products are creative, versatile, modern and easy to use. (That’s my opinion)
The iPad is one of the newest craves of the world. It was introduced a few months ago, and I myself am now considering of purchasing one!
The article ‘Stanford School of Medicine equipping students with Apple's iPad’ was one article i found very fascinating. Why? Because schools are now considering to use the iPad for educational purposes. Stanford school of Medicine have four reasons for using the iPad. ‘The iPad creates opportunities for efficient, mobile and innovative learning’.
Now that is something I would like to see at our university. The school also said ‘the flexibility of iPad technology," noting that "iPad allows students to view and annotate course content electronically, facilitating advance preparation as well as in-class note-taking in a highly portable, sharable and searchable format."
It will allow them to access all documents, pictures, files, music, images from textbooks, books, see what library books are on the shelves.
Maybe in the future, the iPads will be something that exists in our computer labs!

i've heard of RSS before..just never knew what they hell it was haha
ReplyDeletei was also thinking about getting the iPad but im thinking about waiting a bit cos like all other apple products they always have tonnes of issues. like with the new iphone, how u cant hold it in ur left hand cos u wont get any reception. that's stupid haha
i would also love to see the ipad at our uni, but i doubt that'll happen while we're still at rmit though :(
